When we bought our farm, we wanted to do something special with it and we began searching. We had absolutely no knowledge of either agriculture or livestock but we shared the desire to transform our lifestyle and to live in the countryside for a higher quality environment. Being animal lovers, we could not raise anything that would be slaughtered. Having barely an acre of pasture, we had to find something very special. We then discovered the alpacas!

Not only intensely researching about the alpaca itself, we searched for knowledge about everything that concerns the animal from types of fencing, feed, care, veterinarians and making several visits to some already established alpaca farms. After getting the grounds ready, we purchased our first 4 huacaya females in August of 2006.

Our goal is to raise the finest alpacas that we can. Improve the quality of the alpaca both in fiber, conformation and disposition with every generation. We focus our herd management on balanced nutrition, preventative health care and clean facilities.

Our priority is to the well-being of each of our alpacas. Each alpaca has its own health/maintenance record. All medical treatments, weights, breedings and shots are entered into our computerized system to ensure that we have complete medical records for our herd. We have a strong desire and commitment to keep our herd size down to a number that we feel is manageable. We like to spend time with our alpacas and be aware of their needs and wants. We already have grown to love this peaceful lifestyle here with our alpacas.

One of our philosophies in raising alpacas is to reduce stress for the animals at all costs. This means you might not find us at many shows but does not mean our alpacas are any less in quality! We prefer to see and show our herd right in the pastures where they are the happiest.

It is our vision that when we will drive through the country, we will see alpaca herds as common as sheep and cattle. When we will go shopping, we will see garments of alpaca for sale and we will know we have played a role in the development of a profitable farm industry available to any motivated property owner.
