 Cartez
has all the requirements for being a perfect herdsire. He’s a
stunning, absolute gentleman! He has a very good conformation with a
heavy bone structure well proportioned for his size. His fiber
exhibits extreme density, defined pencil lock structure and lots of
luster. Perfect solid white, his fleece is also very soft with a
very good crimp and good staple length.
One thing you notice
about Cartez is his nice personality. This Macho has a great
temperament and gentle disposition. A quiet, very easy to handle,
male that carries himself proudly as if he was in a show ring!
All these great
genetic qualities were transmitted to him partly by his grandfather,
Jolimont Peruvian Alpamayo, one of the most prestigious
Canadian herdsire who continues to produce championship winners.
Also, his sire, LS Mikah, who won Supreme Champion Alpaca
twice, in 2002 and 2003, Best of Show in 2002 and 1st Get of Sire at
the Keystone Classic in 2006. On his dam side, Tell Hopscotch
and Jolimont Peruvian Pauco, also well renowned for producing
show winners!
Cartez is just coming
into breeding age and showing interest. He should be ready to start
his breeding career in July of 2008.
Cartez was in the
final selection of males at the Lloydminster Show in 2006.
